Asked about Dawn Primarolo’s announcement today, the PMS said that it was about the extension of the HPV vaccine programme, which was used in the prevention of cervical cancer.

Asked if the Prime Minister’s speech to the Knesset this morning was a security guarantee to Israel, the PMS said that the Prime Minister’s speech spoke for itself in terms of the UK’s support for Israel and our position as a friend to the Israeli people.

Asked about the timing and format of Senator Obama’s visit to London, the PMS said that she was not in a position to give details about the visit yet but would do so at a later stage in the week. However, the meeting was still scheduled to be in Downing Street.

Asked if the Prime Minister was meeting with Land Girls on Wednesday, the PMS said that she understood there was a Women’s Land Army event this week in Downing Street.

Asked if Alan Johnson’s campaign launch on obesity and exercise on Wednesday was in direct response to David Cameron’s remarks, the PMS said that it was best to speak to her political colleagues about that aspect of the issue, but that the Government launch had been planned for some time.
