Asked to remind people how secure the Chancellor was in his job, the PMS replied that he thought he had made the position very clear this morning, which was that the reports this morning were complete nonsense. Asked if that meant the Chancellor was very secure, the PMS said it did.
Put that the Prime Minister had mentioned that the Government would be looking again at biofuel, the PMS said that the Government had asked Professor Gallagher to look at the impact of biofuels on food prices and he was due to report shortly.
