Alcohol

Asked about the story on the Mirror’s front page about units of alcohol, the PMS replied that we would shortly be reporting the results of the independent reviews on alcohol price and promotion, and would consider our position in light of that. However the Mirror’s story seemed to be somewhat ahead of itself and rather premature. The proposal in the Mirror seemed to be the proposal that is being piloted in Scotland at the moment, and in relation to what we did in England, we were waiting for the report of the independent reviews on alcohol price and promotion.
