He is using this issue to keep himself in a job, when the fact is that the issue is bigger than any government: it is about *our* fundamental civil liberties. If Brown really was a "conviction" politician and really believed in the issue then he would permit a free vote and leave MPs to vote according to their principles, and not his own fear. Brown’s arm twisting and bribery disgusts me.
