US Elections

Asked if there had been any communication between the Prime Minister and Mr Obama or Mrs Clinton, the PMS replied that the Democratic and Republican Party nomination processes were really a matter for the respective parties, and the Presidential election was really a matter for the American people. The UK Government looked forward to continuing our close and productive relationship with whichever President the American people elect. The Prime Minister had made comments previously about Mr Obama, Mrs Clinton, and Mr McCain, and there was nothing really to add to that.
