Asked if the Prime Minister was happy that the case had gone to the High Court, the PMS said that the Prime Minister was happy to have his expenses published but that these matters were being dealt with by the House of Commons. Asked if the Prime Minister was reluctant to comment further on the expenses issue due to sub-judicy, the PMS said that the Prime Minister was happy to give whatever comment he felt was necessary on the expenses issue.
