Asked if the Prime Minister agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding fiscal measures, the PMS replied that these were matters for the Treasury and the Chancellor and referred journalists back to what the Prime Minister had said about the role of fiscal policy in his article in the Financial Times last Friday.
