Asked if the Government would be making an announcement on Capital Gains Tax this week, the PMS said that it was a matter for the Treasury. Asked about the Counter-terrorism bill and how it would be published, the PMS said that he thought it was a straightforward publication of the bill. Asked for an updated position on the two aircraft carriers to be built in the UK, the PMS said that he was not aware of any change in the position in relation to the aircraft carriers, but advised people to check with the MoD.
