» Wednesday, January 9, 2008Meeting of European Leader’s
Asked for more details on the proposed meeting between the Prime Minister and the leaders of Italy, Germany and France, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman told the assembled press that we were not in a position to confirm a date yet, but it would be later that month. Asked if Italy had confirmed its attendance, the PMS said that it was his understanding that Italy had been invited as well. Put that there was a preliminary Finance Minister’s meeting of the major European countries beforehand, the PMS said it was his understanding that that was the case, but people should check with the Treasury.
