Put that the Prime Minister had spoken about burden sharing in that morning’s press conference and did that mean within NATO, or also a sharing of the burden with Afghan troops and security forces, the PMS replied that he thought both were true. When the Prime Minister talked about burden sharing it was normally in relation to NATO, but clearly, as President Karzai was making clear, the Afghan Government would also like to see more training and an increasing contribution from Afghan security forces to the security situation in Afghanistan. It was a shared objective that the Government held with the Government of Afghanistan. Briefing took place at 11:00 | Search for related news Original PMOS briefings are © Crown Copyright.
