Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned about the growing crisis in Britain’s dental services, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had been answering questions on this issue this morning so it was best to refer back to his words. As he and Ben Bradshaw had said, there have been significant improvements; 28 million people see an NHS dentist at least once every 2 years; there are 21,000 dentists providing NHS services (4, 000 more than in 1997), but clearly there was more to do.
