Postal Strike
« Statement on Iraq | Back to most recent briefing | Iraq »
Put that the Prime Minister would make an intervention in the postal strike, the PMS replied that the Prime Minister was making a general point that the Post Office was an organisation that received a significant financial subsidy from the taxpayer and therefore people would expect to have their post delivered on time. The PMS went on to say that the Prime Minister’s comments were made in terms of financial support that the Government provided for the Post Office.
