Asked about a letter that Michel Platini had written to all heads of government regarding, among other issues, letting governing bodies in football control the number of foreign players, and did the Prime Minister had a view on this, the PMS replied that he was not sure that the Prime Minister had had a chance to examine the letter with the seriousness which it deserved. No doubt the Government would consider Monsieur Platini’s proposals, and then consider its response.
