Asked about Paul Myners appointment, the PMS replied that Paul Myners was a very distinguished figure in the City with a lot of experience in the City and other sectors. As to the specific proposal in Chris Grayling's letter, we would have to consider that and respond. Put that when David Davis had said that Lord West was wrong about the 28 day review, who was correct, the Prime Minister's Spokesman (PMS) said that the Home Office had checked with the police this morning, and the figures we had from the police showed that 6 people had been held for the maximum 27/28 day period. Of those, 3 had been charged and 3 were released without charge.
