The Prime Minister’s Residence

Asked what accommodation the Prime Minister now lives in, the PMS said he could confirm that the Prime Minister has now moved into the flat above No11 Downing Street.

Asked whether the Chancellor was using the flat in number ten, the PMS said journalists should check with the Her Majesty’s Treasury.

Asked if the Prime Minister’s move was because the No11 flat suited his family needs better, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman said yes and because of security considerations.
