» Tuesday, October 3, 2006Human Trafficking Control Centre
Asked about expectations for the Human Trafficking Control Centre, the PMOS said that it brought together the Police, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and all the other agencies involved in tackling this problem. The centre would provide a response to trafficking on a national level from police forces and other agencies whilst also working closely with the SOCA to combat trafficking at an international level. The centre would provide assistance to victims. Therefore as suggested it was setting up a central focus to tackle this issue, which was important.
