"I tend to feel more confident in a nuclear weapon under the control of a Muslim nation than a bunch of 'red necks' in control of a dim president who has a 'finger on the button'."

I wouldn't say I feel safe with any countries having nuclear weapons, and I doubt that any country would use them, but if our countries are allowed nuclear deterants (against whom exactly?) then so should other countries, it is understandable that they want that basic protection.

I know my thought patterns differ from many 'normal' folk, but, when the US or the UK test fire missiles its OK, but when N Korea launches test missiles its NOT OK.

WHY?

our missiles are designed to carry nuclear warheads and so, probably, are theirs.

What's the problem - is it that we don't like equality, and competition?

or is it the idea that people who live and believe in different cultures, unintelligible to our politicians, are somehow unacceptable threatening aliens?

The same sort of logic is being applied to Iran over the development of nuclear power and, probably, weapons. They are a separate sovereign nation and have the absolute freedom to do whatever they choose, yet the UK and US governments seem to believe that we somehow have a right to interfere.
