If Israel or the USA does bomb Iran it seems inevitable we will be drawn in.  Either Iran will hit at the USA in Iraq - ie &#34;attack Iraq&#34; which British troops are &#34;protecting&#34; under a UN mandate or our troops will be attacked directly.  If Israel bombs Iran and they hit back the USA will retaliate and Iran will hit the USA in Iraq. Either action would give Blair the excuse he needs to join in.  

It would be hard to see him standing down in the middle of such a serious conflagration.  </description>
