Every day the Prime Minister's Spokesman meets a small coterie of political journalists known as 'the lobby' for a topical chat, or 'briefing'.

When the PM gets kicked out of Downing street they move the same day - the police seem to get the security sorted out fairly quickly... so why not here.
It just doesn't wash.

Perhaps dirty Dave is having just one last shag in his old pad...
Or maybe he can't find the door...?

From the Register of Members' Interests, Mr Blunkett's entry:

8. Land and Property
Second home in London, from which I temporarily receive rental income.

I particularly enjoyed the 'temporarily'.

I wonder how much he has pocketed while taxpayers pick up his housing bill?

Come on
- if we are talking about the amount of time since Blunkett was Home Secretary and the Security Forces can't get cover in place for him then I begin to understand why the Police need 90 days to gather evidence.
But it doesn't make a good assumption because it looks from the outside to be more incompetence.
I tend to believe that Tony is more to blame than the Security Forces and that if Mr Blunkett were booted out tomorrow the good ole boys in mufti would be more than able to secure his well being.
So we have to write this one off to more graft and corruption in the cabinet.

Um, hang about; he wasn't Home Secretary this time around. If this shite is true then fair enough, when he "resigned" from the Home Secretary's job I could understand it. But he wasn't Home Secretary, and he's wasting yet more of my money, so the sooner Bliar and the rest of them stop treading on politically-correct eggshells around old Blind Himmler and get him moved the f*ck OUT of any grace-and-favour residence to which he is NO LONGER ENTITLED, the better for them, him and me :o>
