		<description>The Home Office have known for a long time that tagged offenders who choose to ignore their curfew in order to re-offend can do so with the same ease as any other free member of society.

All that tagging tells the monitoring station is that the tag is not where it is supposed to be - not a very useful bit of information if a crime is being committed elsewhere.

The PMOS can't comment because the only thing that could be said is &#34;yes we knew this could happen&#34;.
