Non-state terrorists can kill and maim (though on a trivial scale in London compared to what nation states have done in Iraq) but they cannot steal our civil liberties. It's "our" government (elected by barely one in five of the eligible voters) which does that, and is clearly intending, if it is allowed to get away with it, to remove even more of our hard-won and in any case minimal set of civil liberties.

To fight back, join the Stop the War Coalition's national demonstration for peace & liberty on Saturday 24th September, 12 noon. Assemble in Parliament Square, London, and march to Hyde Park. The themes of the march will be

1. Stop Bush and Blair's so-called war on terror, which is simply making the world a more dangerous place.
2. Defend civil liberties.
3. Defend the Muslim community.
4. Bring UK troops home from Iraq by Christmas.

There will also be two feeder marches from East & South London. See the Stop the War Coalition website for details nearer the time.
