Asked if during the meetings with the EU Ministers this week, they would discuss anything other that terrorism, the PMOS said it was a welcome fact that the meetings gave us the opportunity to talk about our EU Presidency goal, and how we moved forward the debate, given that we had already announced the informal summit. Asked if the Prime Minister had any other meetings planned with Muslim community leaders, the PMOS replied that there was nothing planned at this stage, but there was a work agenda set out in terms of the meeting held last week and it was anticipated that there would be a report back session in the autumn. Asked for further information on the Israeli Foreign Minister’s meeting this afternoon with the Prime Minister, and would they discuss suicide bombers, the PMOS said among other things, they would discuss the Israeli disengagement plan as it was a major event for the summer. Asked for further information on the international summit, the PMOS said there was nothing further to report at this stage.
