Ummm, beg yer pardon chaps, but you seem to have missed the point. You said "terrorism will not succeed". Well guess what? It has. They got through; that’s all they need to do to succeed. And how? Wasn’t 9/11 enough of a warning? What have our much-vaunted "intelligence" services been up to? How come no-one knew or heard a thing? We have more policemen on the streets than ever according to our "government", we’ve had 9/11 as a wake up, we’ve had countless reviews of the "intelligence" services since Hutton; how is it this is still allowed to happen?
Tony Bliar has personally have failed this country. He took us into an illegal war even after being warned that would increase the potential for terrorism at home – and today at least 37 people have paid for that total lack of care with their lives. And for him to then trot out platitudes about how "we’ll fight them on the beaches" and "we shall never surrender" is obscene; what he really mean is WE will fight them on the beaches – HIS lifestyle won’t be affected in the slightest. And I hope he feels good about the security presence in Gleneagles; if half as much were spent employing full-time railway & tube security people this may not have happened.
Comment by PapaLazzzaru — 7 Jul 2005 on 9:46 pm | LinkYou must always remeber that the Bin Laden family are close friends of the Bush family, and that the Blair family are lacky’s to the Bush family so Blair will do as he is told again, and the British people will pay the price.

Yes it did – what sort of brain exists inside Tony Blair’s head?
The same ‘failure of logic’ took us into the Iraq war.
Doesn’t this guy have any advisers with a whit of logic and common sense?
