David Blunkett

Asked if David Blunkett was discussed at Cabinet, and if there was any sentiment towards him, the PMOS replied no.

Asked if things were becoming even more confused regarding the case, the PMOS repeated what he had told journalists the day before which was in terms of the individual case, it would be better to leave it to Sir Alan Budd.

Asked if the Prime Minister was both aware and supportive of David Blunkett’s statement yesterday regarding visa cases, the PMOS said that Sir Alan Budd would be carrying out his review and should be allowed to do so.
