Fox Hunting

Asked to explain the Prime Minister’s comments about fox hunting during a press conference at Leeds Castle at the weekend in which he had said that the Government had sought a compromise but, because it had been rejected, it was necessary to find a way through, the PMOS said that the next stage was the House of Lords. We would wait and see what happened there. Asked about the Prime Minister’s personal views on fox hunting, the PMOS said that the Prime Minister had already answered the question.

  1. I have researched this subject for a school essay and it has opened my eyes to both sides of the argument. From all the evidence I collected, I came to the conclusion that instead of an outright ban on fox hunting, the government should introduce a licencing system which sets a low annual limit on the amount of hunts 1 person can take part in per year. The rural communities feel that it is no different to the foxes killing animals for food, this is completely wrong as foxes killing chickens and lambs is natural. Impose a limit and everyone wins.
