The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of John Hayes MP as Minister of State at the Department for Education in addition to his current role as Minister of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
As Minister of State at the Department for Education he will be responsible for apprenticeships (16 18) and careers advice.
Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for Schools, will retain overarching responsibility for 16-19 funding and participation.
