National Security Strategy
« Governor of the Bank of England | Back to most recent briefing | Michael Jackson »
Asked when the decision had been taken to make an Oral Statement on the National Security Strategy (NSS), the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) said that we were happy to give the House of Commons an update via an Oral Statement in addition to a Written Statement and that was what we would be doing.
Asked if the decision to make an Oral Statement had anything to do with the point of order yesterday, the PMS said that journalists knew better than him the origin of the story in The Independent regarding this, and we were clear it did not come from No 10.
