Asked if the Prime Minister was involved in discussions with LDV, the PMS said that this was a matter Ian Pearson was looking into with LDV and others.
Asked if it was fair that a Cabinet Minister with a plant in their constituency was able to get more involved than a routine backbencher, the PMS said that Ian Pearson was the Minister covering that particular sector and therefore it was appropriate for him to lead any discussions.
