Institure for Fiscal Studies
« House of Lords | Back to most recent briefing | Heathrow »
Asked for a response to the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) report, the PMS said that it was important to read the IFS report in full. They made clear in the report that, according to their central forecast, we would avoid a deep and long recession thanks to the substantial monetary and fiscal measures that the Government had taken. The report also made clear that the cost of doing nothing would have been greater than the action we had taken.
