Jaguar Land Rover

Put that Peter Mandelson said this morning that the Government was talking to Jaguar Land Rover about financial restructuring, and asked if this was not too late as JLR had announced 450 job cuts, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) replied that obviously the Government was disappointed to hear this news. All company job losses were regrettable. Jaguar Land Rover s decision today reflected a continuing downturn in the market, and that was a reflection on what was happening more generally in the global economy. The Job Centre Plus rapid response teams would offer support and work to offer a package of measures to help those faced with redundancies to find other work as quickly as possible.
