The PMS told the assembled journalists that there had been an update this morning at Cabinet from Geoff Hoon on parliamentary business but that most of Cabinet had been spent discussing the economy, led by the Chancellor.
The PMS went on to say that there was an update from David Miliband regarding where we were on Europe and that the Prime Minister asked all Sectaries of State to ask their Permanent Secretaries to ensure that the regulations relating to data security were being properly enforced in their departments.
