Put that Cardinal O’Brien was taking a mass in the House of Commons’ crypt tonight where he was once again going to attack politicians who supported the Embryology Bill, the PMS replied that we did not have any specific response to this. The Prime Minister had set out his position very clearly in the article he wrote for the Observer a couple of weeks ago where he said that of course there were very strong feelings on both side of the debate on this, there were those who understandably had strong religious views, and equally there were those who supported the controversial clauses who had strong opinions in the other direction.
