Asked when the Rose Inquiry into bugging would be published, the PMS said that he was not sure that an exact date had been set, but his general anticipation was that it would be shortly. Asked if there would be a statement to the House once it had been published, the PMS said he would anticipate that, but it was a decision for Jack Straw.
