Asked if there was any discussion at Cabinet on Northern Rock, the PMS replied that there was no discussion of Northern Rock.
Put that it had been reported that the Government would like to leave the door open for Olivant to come back in, the PMS replied that these were matters for the Treasury, and it was best that they spoke on this.
